Every Tuesday from 12 PM to 1 PM, something special sashays through Victoria’s Bistro: fashion. We call it Tasty Tuesdays with Tracy — a casual, easy-going lunch hour where local boutiques bring the runway right to your table. No reservations needed, just great food, good company, and a little style with your soup.

A Flashback to Foxy’s

Years ago — and I mean years ago — I worked at Foxy’s, a Machus restaurant tucked inside Great Oaks Mall in Rochester. I was all of 17 or 18, wide-eyed and thrilled to be working in such an elegant, upscale place. It was the definition of “ladies who lunch.”

Every so often, the stylish saleswomen from Jacobson’s Department Store would stroll through the restaurant modeling the latest looks. I remember watching from the open kitchen, thinking how glamorous and classy it all felt. That memory stuck with me — the blend of food and fashion, sophistication and fun. And I always knew I wanted to recreate that moment someday.

Bringing the Vision to Life in Oxford

Fast forward 40-ish years (give or take a few glasses of rosé), and that dream has become reality. I’m thrilled that Oxford is now home to several wonderful boutiques and vibrant retail shops — the perfect setting for something like this.

Enter Tracy — our fabulous friend and fashion wrangler. Tracy took this little daydream of mine and turned it into a weekly event. She lines up the boutiques, publishes our weekly “fashion show menu,” and keeps everything flowing like a silk wrap dress on a breezy runway.

Even better? The local business community jumped right in. Our participating retailers pay a small sponsorship fee, and in return, we do everything we can to promote them — because when one of us shines, we all shine. ✨
